Bundle Item Options
1. Burner
The H-Style Crossfire Burner is available in various standard sizes, ranging from 120K BTU (18x7 inches) to 340K BTU (48x14 inches).
2. Plate Or Pan
Plates and pans are available in square or circular shapes and are made from tempered aluminum. They feature weep holes for proper drainage, a central opening for the gas inlet, and come in two thicknesses: 1/8 inch or 3/16 inch. Choose the size based on the opening of your fire pit.
3. Flex Line & Key Valve Kit
Two Flex Line & Key Valve Kits are available based on your burner's BTU rating:
- FK1: For burners under 249K BTU
- FK2: For burners over 249K BTU
4. Ignition Types
There are four main ignition systems for fire pits:
- Match Light Ignition: The simplest option. Open the gas valve and light the burner with a match or lighter. This is the default system for most fire pits.
- Push Button Spark Ignition: Works like a grill igniter. Open the gas valve and press the ignitor button—no lighter or match required.
- Push Button Spark Ignition with Flame Sense: Similar to the standard push button system but includes a flame-sensing safety feature to shut off the gas if the flame goes out. This system does not need external power.
- Electronic Ignition: A premium system that lets you turn the fire pit on or off with a button. It includes flame-sensing for safety. Some models may require external power depending on the burner's BTU rating.
5. Venting
It is recommended to have two 18-square-inch vents on opposite sides for cross ventilation. While some choose smaller vents, proper venting is essential for safety.
6. Installation Collars
To support the plate, it will sit 4–5 inches below the top of the fire pit. Options for support include stacked bricks, cinder blocks, or specialized support collars, which act as shelves.
7. Cover
Always cover your fire pit to protect it from outdoor elements. A tarp or a dedicated cover is recommended, especially if the fire pit will not be used for an extended period. Warming Trends offers high-quality aluminum covers. To choose the correct size, add a 1-inch lip around the fire pit’s opening. For example, if the opening is 32 inches, a 34-inch cover would be ideal.
